American Rare Earths Discovers New High-Grade Rare Earth Deposit in Wyoming, USA

Post image

American Rare Earths (ASX: ARR, OTCQB: ARRNF, FSE: 1BHA) has announced the identification of a significant rare earth deposit in Wyoming, USA. The deposit shows grades between 1. 7% and 9. 1% of rare earths lanthanum, cerium, neodymium, praseodymium, and yttrium (La + Ce + Nd + Pr + Y). The company has staked 37 federal unpatented lode claims covering 303 hectares (749 acres), with applications lodged for an additional 259 hectares (640 acres).

New High-Grade Deposit Discovered

The newly staked claims are located north of American Rare Earths' flagship Halleck Creek Project and exhibit similar geological characteristics. Initial field work and XRF samples indicate grades as high as 91,438 ppm for neodymium, praseodymium, and yttrium, which are highly valuable rare earth elements.

CEO and Managing Director, Mr Chris Gibbs, expressed excitement about the discovery, stating, "Given the proximity of these new claims to Halleck Creek, we're very excited about the future synergies and opportunities between both projects and we look forward to conducting further exploration activities to unlock the potential of this new high-grade discovery. "

Concentration of Rare Earth Elements

Geologists from American Rare Earths observed that the rare earth elements are concentrated in veins enriched with allanite, a valuable source of rare earths. In-situ portable X-Ray Fluorescence (pXRF) analyses of large allanite crystals showed grades of 7. 4% to 23. 2% La + Ce + Nd + Pr + Y. Powdered grab samples from exposed allanite-enriched veins showed grades of 1. 7% to 9. 1% La + Ce + Nd + Pr + Y.

Historic Reports and Further Exploration

According to historic reports, the rare earth mineralization is visible in outcrops of calcium silicate rock for an estimated 274-366 meters (900-1200 feet). The depth and length of the deposit remain open and require further exploration. American Rare Earths plans to fast track a detailed mapping and sampling program to enhance their understanding of the deposit and advance the project.

This discovery presents potential synergies and opportunities with American Rare Earths' flagship Halleck Creek Project, which already has a JORC Resource of 1. 43 billion tonnes. The company is focused on unlocking the full potential of this high-grade rare earth deposit to contribute to the global rare earth supply.
