Argosy Minerals Confirms Good Results from Rincon Test Pumping

Test Pumping Validates Potential of Rincon Lithium Project in Argentina

Argosy Minerals Limited (ASX: AGY) has released the results of the test pumping works conducted at the Rincon Lithium Project in Salta Province, Argentina. The company is pleased to confirm that the pumping tests have yielded positive outcomes, further validating the potential of the project.

Enhanced Confidence in Aquifer Performance

The test pumping program involved a step rate test (SRT) and a constant rate test (CRT) to assess the aquifer parameters for the deep sand aquifer unit, also known as the black sand aquifer. The results of these tests indicate that the hydraulic conductivity of the aquifer is estimated to be approximately 1m/d, higher than the previously adopted value of 0. 5m/d. This higher hydraulic conductivity increases confidence that the performance of the black sand aquifer during future brine-abstraction will be consistent or even better than the previous resource modeling predicted.

Optimising Borefield and Efficiency-Gains

The test pumping results also present opportunities for borefield optimisation and efficiency-gains during production forecasting and reserve modeling.

The higher hydraulic conductivity values discovered during the tests allow for potential optimisations in the design and operation of the brine-borefield, leading to improved efficiency and productivity.
