Kununurra, Western Australia - Boab Metals Limited (ASX: BML), a leading mining company, has announced its latest partnership with the Shire of Wyndham and East Kimberley (SWEK) to develop a new accommodation facility in Kununurra. The facility, which will be located just 50km from Boab's Sorby Hills Lead-Silver-Zinc Project, is expected to provide housing for up to 180 personnel.

Under the recently executed Heads of Agreement (HOA), Sorby Management Pty Ltd (SMPL), a subsidiary of Boab Metals Limited, will fund the pre-construction work, including approvals and conceptual design, while SWEK will oversee the detailed design and construction of the facility. The HOA also secures a 10-year lease for SMPL, with an option to extend for an additional 5 years.

The partnership between Boab Metals Limited and SWEK highlights the potential synergies between the Sorby Hills Project and the East Kimberley community. The development of the new accommodation facility not only benefits Boab's employees, providing them with access to local services and community activities, but also allows the Shire to leverage the infrastructure for the long-term benefit of the community.

Simon Noon, the Managing Director and CEO of Boab Metals Limited, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, "We are delighted to announce this significant partnership and enormous opportunity with SWEK.

There’s this idea floating around that throwing enough cash at Intel will suddenly turn them into the next TSMC. But semiconductor manufacturing isn’t something you can rush, it’s a complex, slow-moving process that takes years of precision and experience.

Intel could recover some ground eventually, but framing them as the savior of American chipmaking feels more like a political talking point than a practical reality.

Looks like we're going through something, but who would have thought with all these tarrifs, inflation and trade wars going on
