High Temperature Reliability for Crucial Industries

The qualification process for Weebit Nano's ReRAM IP at high temperatures was performed to well-known JEDEC industry standards, providing reassurance to customers in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and industrial manufacturing. With SkyWater's S130 process, a well-established silicon-proven mixed-signal CMOS platform, the ReRAM IP module paves the way for the development of cutting-edge SoC (System on Chip) architectures. The S130 process, with its extended temperature capabilities, is already utilized in billions of devices deployed worldwide, making it an ideal platform for mixed-signal IoT and edge computing applications.

Enabling Advanced Functionality and Differentiation

According to Coby Hanoch, CEO of Weebit Nano, the ReRAM IP module offers significant advantages in terms of simplicity, power efficiency, tolerance to electromagnetic fields, and more. Hanoch believes that their technology is perfectly suited for the demanding requirements of various industrial, automotive, and aerospace applications. With ongoing discussions with potential customers, Weebit Nano anticipates that their ReRAM IP module will be adopted by industry leaders in 2024 and beyond.

A Milestone Achievement

John Sakamoto, President and COO of SkyWater, expressed his delight at another qualification milestone with Weebit Nano. SkyWater's proven CMOS technologies have been trusted in automotive, aerospace, industrial, and medical applications for decades. Customers in these markets are increasingly seeking to incorporate advanced non-volatile memory (NVM) into their chips to add functionality and differentiation. The recent qualification of Weebit's ReRAM IP at temperatures up to 125 degrees Celsius has piqued the interest of these customers, and Sakamoto expects a surge of interest as a result.

A Partnership for the Future

The road to this achievement involved close collaboration between Weebit Nano and SkyWater. Weebit Nano's ReRAM IP module is now available with full support in SkyWater's S130 process design kit, empowering chip designers to seamlessly integrate this cutting-edge memory technology into their next-generation products.

Weebit Nano's groundbreaking accomplishment in achieving high-temperature qualification of their ReRAM IP module opens up exciting opportunities for various industries. With its simplicity, power efficiency, and tolerance to harsh environments, Weebit Nano's ReRAM technology is poised to revolutionize the semiconductor industry, enabling the development of advanced automotive, industrial, aerospace, and IoT products. As the partnership between Weebit Nano and SkyWater continues to flourish, the future looks brighter than ever for the world of memory technology.
