Drilling Update: Lithium-Rich Brines Intersected at Solaroz Lithium Project

Post image

Argentina - Lithium Energy Limited (ASX: LEL) is excited to announce the progress of the drilling activities at the Solaroz Lithium Brine Project. Hole 7, the first drillhole in the Northern Block of concessions on the Olaroz Salar, has commenced drilling to test the conductive brines. Additionally, Drillhole 6 has encountered lithium-rich brines in both the upper and lower aquifers, highlighting the significant potential of the project.

As drilling activities continue at the Solaroz Lithium Brine Project, Lithium Energy Limited has provided an update on the latest findings. Hole 7, known as SOZDD007, marks the first drillhole to explore the conductive brines in the Northern Block of concessions. This area lies outside the resource area where the initial maiden JORC Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate of 3. 3 million tonnes of Lithium Carbonate Equivalent (LCE) was identified.

The objective of drilling Hole 7 is to test the extent of lithium mineralization in this previously untapped area spanning approximately 2,731 hectares.

Meanwhile, Drillhole 6 (SOZDD006) has already yielded promising results. Spanning a total intersection of 164 meters, it has encountered lithium-rich brines in both the upper and lower aquifers, with lithium concentrations of up to 448 mg/l. Currently at a depth of approximately 440 meters, Drillhole 6 is anticipated to reach a target depth of around 500 meters below the surface, as indicated by previous geophysical surveys.

Drillholes 4 (SOZDD004) and 5 (SOZDD005) have also been completed, with final assays and geophysical hole logging results currently under review and analysis.

The Solaroz Lithium Brine Project, situated in the heart of South America's renowned 'Lithium Triangle', has been a key focus for Lithium Energy Limited. The Company recently announced an initial maiden JORC Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate of 3. 3 million tonnes of Lithium Carbonate Equivalent (LCE) in the eastern portions of the 'Central Block' and the southern Mario Angel concession. These areas have a total coverage of 4,777 hectares within the larger Solaroz concessions.

The progress made in drilling activities at the Solaroz Lithium Brine Project is an encouraging sign for Lithium Energy Limited. The intersected lithium-rich brines in Drillhole 6 and the commencement of drilling at Hole 7 highlight the project's potential for significant lithium mineralization. As the drilling campaign continues, Lithium Energy remains focused on unlocking the full potential of the Solaroz Lithium Brine Project.
