WA1 Resources Ltd (ASX: WA1) has announced further exploration results from drilling at the West Arunta Project in Western Australia. The company drilled at the 100% owned West Arunta Project to assess the interpreted continuity of high-grade mineralization between the initial spaced step-out holes.

Infill Drilling Results at Luni Carbonatite:

WA1 drilled 21 reverse circulation (RC) drillholes, with the assays demonstrating the continuity of the shallow high-grade blanket of niobium at the Luni carbonatite. The mineralization is flat-lying and extends over the 1km strike extent of the infilled zone. The best new intersections include 10m at 2. 1% Nb2O5, 15m at 3. 3% Nb2O5, 8m at 4.

2% Nb2O5, 16m at 3. 0% Nb2O5, 20m at 2. 0% Nb2O5, 30m at 4. 7% Nb2O5, and 25m at 2. 0% Nb2O5.

Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate:

These results will contribute significantly to the maiden Mineral Resource estimate for Luni targeted to be completed in H1-2024. The RC and diamond drilling is ongoing, and the company has completed nearly 26,000m this year at Luni. A consistent flow of assay results is expected to be received over the coming months, forming the basis of the maiden Mineral Resource estimate.

What is Luni Carbonatite?

The Luni Carbonatite is located in the Sambhar prospect area. A total of 181 RC and 23 diamond drillholes (not including five diamond tails) have been drilled at Luni. Assay results from 80 holes now have been reported, as per the 8 November 2023 ASX announcement by WA1 Resources.

The Managing Director of WA1, Paul Savich, stated, "Drill-out of the Luni carbonatite is ongoing. We anticipate receiving further regular laboratory assay results which will continue to form the basis of the maiden Mineral Resource estimate expected in the first half of 2024. "

The company is pleased with the results as it continues to explore the West Arunta Project.
