How exactly to connect a 16-pin GPU to double 8-pin PSU (with the adapter) ? - Hi,

Sorry for the very noob question but i just wanted to make sure so i don't make mistakes. I have [EVGA 650 GQ Power Supply](https://modmymods.com/evga-650-gq-power-supply-210-gq-0650-v1.html) semi modular 8pin x2 (VGA 1 and VGA2). I upgraded my old GPU to a RTX 4070 (16pin). I haven't received the box yet but apparently there is an adapter included. So, I still keep my cable already plugged on 8pin VGA1 on my PSU and simply use the adapter to connect the other end of the 8pin x2 cable to the 16pin GPU and that's it ?

It seems simple, yet i see people talking about use two cables instead of one or things like that (meaning i'd have to use VGA2 output that is currently empty), so i'm not quite sure.
