I don't recommend anyone doing this mod, it's really dumb. I replaced my 3060 ti with an used (250€) 3070 from EVGA . I also bought 16GB of VRAM for like 80€ and soldered it onto the card with a copius amount of flux. The card works, and I even added a switch to switch between 8GB and 16GB.

Can the card actually make use of the 16GB?

I remember seeing a similar mod before but because the vBIOS was the same, even though GPUZ could see the extra VRAM, any program that requested VRAM above the stock limit would cause the card to not function or crash.
