Southern Cross Gold Ltd Unveils Significant High-Grade Gold Strike, Extending Mineralization Westward

Southern Cross Gold Ltd (ASX: SXG) has uncovered remarkable high-grade mineralization, alongside the identification of two new vein sets from recent drill holes at its 100%-owned Sunday Creek Project in Victoria. The company's latest discovery, extending mineralization 250 meters west of the previous drilling, marks a significant 29% increase in the known strike length.

A Promising Expansion

The drilling campaign revealed high-grade mineralization within two new vein sets, expanding westward and reaching depths of 240 meters below the surface between the historically active Golden Dyke and Christina mining areas. This groundbreaking discovery has widened the drilled footprint of mineralization to over 1. 1 kilometers within the core area.

The results from the recent exploration campaign demonstrate the potential for multiple vein set extensions and repeats at considerable depths within an undrilled area spanning approximately 700 meters. These promising findings stretch from the westernmost drilling at Rising Sun (SDDSC082) to Christina (Figure 3).

Remarkable Drill Results

Key highlights from the recent drilling include exceptional findings:

SDDSC086 (150 meters west of previous drilling):
2. 8 meters @ 7. 4 g/t AuEq (4. 4 g/t Au, 1. 9% Sb) from 252. 7 meters, notably including 0. 5 meters @ 38. 4 g/t AuEq (22. 1 g/t Au, 10. 3% Sb) from 252. 7 meters.
3. 1 meters @ 21. 3 g/t AuEq (20. 6 g/t Au, 0. 4% Sb) from 266. 5 meters, including 1. 8 meters @ 35. 3 g/t AuEq (34. 5 g/t Au, 0. 5% Sb) from 266. 5 meters.

SDDSC090 (250 meters west of previous drilling):
9. 8 meters @ 4. 6 g/t AuEq (4. 0 g/t Au, 0. 4% Sb) from 346. 9 meters, notably including 2. 2 meters @ 12. 7 g/t AuEq (11. 0 g/t Au, 1. 1% Sb) from 347. 6 meters.

However, among the reported holes, SDDSC083 found itself between mineralized veins sets, resulting in a broad, low-grade result. Meanwhile, SDDSC089, positioned 100 meters below and 30 meters northwest of SDDSC086, revealed a lower-grade, along-strike halo. One notable intersection included 1. 5 meters @ 2. 3 g/t AuEq (2. 3 g/t Au, 0. 0% Sb) from 334. 1 meters. The limited drilling with only four holes implies that much of the mineralized host in this area remains untested.

Current and Future Endeavors

Currently, sixteen holes (SDDSC092-106, 109) are undergoing processing and analysis, with four holes (SDDSC107, 108A, 110, 111) currently in progress, signifying an ongoing and robust exploration campaign to unearth further mineralization prospects.
