Lode Resources Collaborates with CSIRO for Webbs Consol Silver-Base Metals Project Study

Lode Resources Ltd (ASX:LDR), an Australian mineral exploration company, has entered into a collaborative research study with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), on its Webbs Consol Silver-Base Metals Project located in the New England Fold Belt of New South Wales.

The study will analyze and interpret newly acquired and existing geophysical, lithological, and geochemical data to develop a 3D model of the prospect and understand the controls of silver-base metal mineralisation at the site. CSIRO will investigate the style of mineralisation and deposit genesis at Webbs Consol, including mineralogical, geochemical and metal alteration zonation, relationship between deposit geometry and structures, and analogies with other deposits.

The aim of the study is to increase the comprehension of silver-based metal mineralisation at Webbs Consol, enabling better exploration and targeting through mapping and drilling. The project has been awarded an Innovation Connections Grant via the Entrepreneurs’ Programme, with CSIRO receiving funding from the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources, in addition to the Company’s committed expenditure on the study.

Lode's Managing Director, Ted Leschke, expressed his pleasure with the collaboration with CSIRO and the access to their combined expertise in the fields of geochemical and structural vectoring and 3D modelling.

The very significant drill results achieved to date are well beyond our initial expectations, and this indicates that the prospectivity of silver-base metal mineralisation associated with the Webbs Consol Leucogranite is very strong and extensive, and completely overlooked by previous explorers," he said.

Study Highlights

Here are the key highlights of the collaborative study conducted by CSIRO on Lode's Webbs Consol Silver-Base Metals Project:

CSIRO is evaluating and processing newly acquired and existing geophysical, lithological, and geochemical data as the basis for building a 3D model of the prospect and determining emplacement controls of silver-base metal mineralisation.

The study will provide information on the mineralogical, geochemical and metal alteration zonation, the relationship between deposit geometry and structures, and analogies with other deposits.

Lode has been granted the Innovation Connections Grant via the Entrepreneurs’ Programme, with CSIRO receiving funding from the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources, in addition to the Company’s committed expenditure on the study.
