New to trading, don’t know how taxes work - Hey everyone, I just turned 18 a few months ago and I’ve been wanting to invest for a while. I recently opened a Schwab account but before I even invest I seriously want to know how reporting ur sales even works. I’ve heard a lot about Turbo Tax or something? What’s the deal there? The last thing I want is my poor education to make the IRS think I’m a tax evader. So someone please walk me through the process of how reporting your gains/losses to the IRS even works. Like, what in the world do you do with your 1099? Does your broker already report your stuff for you so you don’t need to worry about it? Please forgive my stupidity and help. Thank you. Stockmarket

Intel’s been lagging behind for years, while AMD has pulled far ahead in both consumer and professional-grade chips, it’s really not a close race anymore.

There’s this idea floating around that throwing enough cash at Intel will suddenly turn them into the next TSMC. But semiconductor manufacturing isn’t something you can rush, it’s a complex, slow-moving process that takes years of precision and experience.

Intel could recover some ground eventually, but framing them as the savior of American chipmaking feels more like a political talking point than a practical reality.

Looks like we're going through something, but who would have thought with all these tarrifs, inflation and trade wars going on
