Noble Helium Unveils Mbelele Gas Discoveries: A Pivotal Leap in North Rukwa's Helium Potential

Noble Helium Limited (ASX: NHE) has unveiled groundbreaking insights into the recent drilling results at the Mbelele-1 and Mbelele-2 wells within the North Rukwa Helium Project in Tanzania. The data gathered from these wells signifies a significant leap in understanding the helium potential within the region and outlines key elements that could reshape the helium industry's landscape.

Clarification on Mbelele-1 Well: Free Gas Column and Helium Findings

The Mbelele-1 well has revealed a momentous discovery – a free gas column comprising a mix of helium and nitrogen, spanning 10-15 meters within the upper segment of the Mbelele structure. Despite the inability to collect a gas sample initially, this interval showcased the highest recorded helium readings in mud-gas throughout the drilling program.

Noble Helium is actively collaborating with NSAI to meet the guidelines of SPE-PRMS for declaring a conventional helium discovery. The presence of this free gas column holds immense potential for the company's early-stage monetization plans. Consequently, Noble Helium aims to revisit this gas intersection promptly, utilizing a small, cost-effective rig for sample collection and flow testing.

Moreover, beneath this free gas column, deeper reservoirs also displayed traces of gas-phase helium within fluid samples obtained at the surface. These fluids, upon surfacing and undergoing natural depressurization, exsolved helium gas, calculated to contain approximately 2-3% helium (after compensating for air contamination).

These findings indicate the minimum helium content within the fluid samples. Notably, all reported reservoir intersections at Mbelele-1 and Mbelele-2 wells exhibited similar helium-enriched fluids, solidifying the prospect of unconventional helium resources within these high-quality stacked reservoirs.

Unearthing a New Play Type: Potential Upside in North Rukwa

The amalgamation of high gas saturation, helium content, and substantial reservoir thickness in these high-quality permeable reservoirs at Mbelele poses a new play type in North Rukwa. This unconventional resource potential within the Mbelele structure hints at significant upside possibilities.

Noble Helium is awaiting laboratory results to validate helium concentrations within the fluid samples and is collaborating with the Centre for Natural Gas at the University of Queensland to meet SPE-PRMS requirements for unconventional discoveries.

Implications and Prospects: Prolific Helium Potential in North Rukwa

The recent findings affirm North Rukwa's status as a prolific helium-producing province, amplifying the potential of Noble Helium's identified prospects and leads within the region. These revelations not only highlight the significance of the Mbelele discoveries but also outline the transformative impact they might have on helium production in the broader industry.

Noble Helium's comprehensive exploration efforts and insightful collaborations underline its commitment to unlocking the helium potential at North Rukwa, setting the stage for potential game-changing developments in the helium market.
