Rare Earth Element Discovery Adjacent to Manna Lithium Project Unveils Promising Cardunia Rocks REE Project

Global Lithium Resources Limited (ASX: GL1), a prominent multi-asset West Australian Lithium company, has made an exciting announcement regarding a significant Rare Earth Element (REE) discovery near their Manna Lithium Project, located 100km East of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. This discovery, named the Cardunia Rocks REE Project, has the potential to unlock new prospects for the company's exploration efforts.

The identification of this bedrock REE hosting mineralised system came about during the re-analysis of pulps from the 2022 lithium RC and Diamond drilling campaigns. Initial assay spectra exhibited remarkably high peaks of cerium concentrations, prompting further investigation. Field observations also highlighted a distinct structurally deformed and altered zone, indicating the presence of valuable mineral resources.

Upon receiving assay results from a multitude of resubmitted pulps for multielement and REE analysis, the presence of anomalous REE concentrations just outside the eastern edge of the Manna Lithium Project became evident. This discovery prompted a comprehensive analytical program, accompanied by tenement-wide structural geology and geophysical interpretation, to trace potential source pathways from the current REE mineralization point and generate a new set of exploration targets.

Noteworthy drilling results within a 2km strike length include standout intervals such as MRC0152, which revealed an impressive 8m at 0. 76% Total Rare Earth Element Oxide (TREO) and an exceptional 1m at 24. 17% TREO, displaying the high-grade potential of the Cardunia Rocks REE Project. Petrography analysis on core samples formally identified the presence of REE host minerals, namely Allanite and Bastnaesite.

Additionally, a large-scale soil sampling program conducted in the area returned a peak surface assay result of 3,350ppm TREO, further confirming the significance of the REE discovery. Soil and auger sampling also unveiled a new REE surface anomaly that spans over an impressive 8. 5km length, indicating the extensive potential of the Cardunia Rocks REE Project.

To fully understand the mineralization characteristics of the area, it should be noted that the drill holes intersecting the interpreted Cardunia Rocks REE mineralised structure were likely oriented at a low angle of intersection, as they were primarily focused on intersecting perpendicular with the Manna Lithium Project pegmatites. Further drilling will be conducted to obtain a true representation of the width of the mineralised zone.

With the REE discovery adjacent to the Manna Lithium Project, Global Lithium Resources Limited is already planning a comprehensive exploration program to fully target the Manna REE mineralization. Employing a separate exploration team dedicated to the REE potential will ensure a focused approach without distracting from the core lithium focus. Recent regional consolidation in the surrounding tenements has also provided additional prospectivity for future endeavours.

The large-scale Manna Lithium Project exploration drilling is set to continue in August, following the completion of heritage surveys expected in July. These ongoing efforts demonstrate Global Lithium Resources' commitment to maximising the potential of their assets and establishing their position in the thriving lithium and REE market.

There’s this idea floating around that throwing enough cash at Intel will suddenly turn them into the next TSMC. But semiconductor manufacturing isn’t something you can rush, it’s a complex, slow-moving process that takes years of precision and experience.

Intel could recover some ground eventually, but framing them as the savior of American chipmaking feels more like a political talking point than a practical reality.

Looks like we're going through something, but who would have thought with all these tarrifs, inflation and trade wars going on
