Exploring the Depths: Sayona Mining Limited Ventures into Western Australia for Lithium

Sayona Mining Limited (ASX:SYA; OTCQB:SYAXF), a prominent North American lithium producer, has set its sights on Western Australia, commencing a maiden exploration drilling program at its wholly-owned Tabba Tabba Lithium Project, E45/2364. This initiative marks the beginning of a robust 76 aircore drill hole program, aiming to delve into a 7. 5km corridor rich with lithium prospects.

New Horizons: Unveiling Untouched Lithium Riches

The project's primary targets are bifurcated between the northern drill area, situated just south of the historic Tabba Tabba tantalum mine, and the southern drill area encompassing the Roadside and Turley pegmatite prospects. The drilling in these regions aims to reveal crucial geological and geochemical insights, primarily targeting lithium pegmatite mineralization beneath thin cover layers.

Drilling Design and Prospects: Setting the Stage for Future Unveilings

With a veiled bedrock, the drilling seeks to unearth essential information facilitating deeper reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling (DDH) prospects in early 2024. Intense groundwork, including earthworks and identification of favorable structures, anticipates more in-depth drilling to unveil prospective gabbro-sediment contacts, instrumental in exploring deeper lithium prospects.

Strategic Expansion and Vision: Director's Take on the Milestone

James Brown, Director of Sayona, expressed enthusiasm, emphasizing the project's significant potential in light of recent discoveries. He highlighted the drilling's initiation as a crucial step in exploring the vast lithium reserves in Western Australia, an active focus aligning with the company's global lithium resource expansion plan.

Exploration Roadmap and Expectations: The Way Forward

Expected to conclude by mid-December, the drilling program is anticipated to provide assay results in early 2024, paving the way for subsequent drilling. Sayona holds 100% lithium rights to six tenements within the Pilgangoora lithium district and maintains a 49% interest in the Morella Lithium JV, which consists of six additional leases.

A Vision for Expansion: Significance of WA Lithium Portfolio

The strategic significance of the Western Australian lithium portfolio within Sayona's global lithium development plan has taken center stage with the commencement of drilling at Tabba Tabba. Combined efforts with Morella JV's exploration endeavors signify a meticulous evaluation and strategic repositioning, potentially enhancing the importance of these tenement assets.

Geological Insights and Exploration Success: Fueling Further Exploration

Bolstered by insights from geological occurrences at Moblan, Québec, and recent success in Western Australia, the exploration efforts target gabbroic host rocks.
