Strike Energy Receives Approval for Walyering Gas Field Development
Strike Energy Limited, operating on behalf of the EP447 Joint Venture, provided an update on the progress of the Walyering gas field development. The project, with Strike Energy as the operator holding a 55% stake and Talon Energy (ASX: TPD) holding the remaining 45%, has received approval for its Environmental Plan (EP) for the construction and commissioning phase.
With this crucial approval in place, Strike Energy is now able to proceed with the construction and commissioning of the Walyering gas field. These activities are estimated to take approximately six weeks, following which production operations will commence upon the completion of pipeline connection.
The EP approval marks a significant milestone in the development of the Walyering gas field. The only remaining approval needed is from Strike Energy's own case for safety management systems during production operations, which is expected to be granted in the coming weeks.
Now that the EP has been issued, Strike Energy can commence construction works based on its existing Safety Management System.

The construction phase is expected to take approximately six weeks to complete. Once construction is finished, the focus will shift to connecting the Walyering gas field to APA Group's Parmelia Gas Pipeline, and final quality assurances of the upstream facility will be conducted.
Strike Energy anticipates production and gas sales from the Walyering gas field to commence in April*, pending the successful completion of the pipeline connection and final quality assurance processes.
The approval of the EP for the Walyering gas field development demonstrates the progress made by Strike Energy and the EP447 Joint Venture. The project represents an important step towards unlocking the potential of the gas field and providing a valuable energy resource for the region.
