Superior Resources Uncovers Strong Copper and Gold Mineralisation at Cockie Creek

Post image

Superior Resources Limited, an Australian exploration company, has discovered broad intermissions of strong porphyry copper and gold mineralisation at the Cockie Creek prospect through its third drill hole. The results from this hole, known as CCDD003, show a much greater width of high-grade mineralisation at deeper levels, drilling to a depth of 303. 7 meters where it terminated within mineralisation. The mineralisation has been drilled about 400 meters west from the second Cockie Creek drill hole, and it is the broadest discovered so far through the drilling program.

The Data

CCDD003 revealed 248 meters at 0. 28% Cu, 0. 06 g/t Au, and 44 ppm Mo from 56 meters to 303.

7 meters. Additionally, it unveiled 177 meters at 0. 35% Cu, 0. 07 g/t Au, and 52 ppm Mo from 57 meters, including 130 meters at 0. 41% Cu, 0. 08 g/t Au, and 49 ppm Mo from 57 meters.

The drill hole also found 33 meters at 0. 68% Cu, 0. 11 g/t Au, and 56 ppm Mo from 130 meters, including 14 meters at 0. 91% Cu, 0. 12 g/t Au, and 79 ppm Mo from 140 meters. These excellent results demonstrate encouraging continuity of mineralisation from CCDD003 to CCDD002, the second Cockie Creek drill hole, which delivered 117 meters at 0. 52% Cu, 0. 11 g/t Au, and 109 ppm Mo from 20 meters, and returned 71 meters at 0. 69% Cu, 0. 13 g/t Au, and 158 ppm Mo from 27 meters, inclusive of 36 meters at 0. 77% Cu, 0. 14 g/t Au, and 146 ppm Mo from 56 meters.

Great Potentials

The continuity of mineralisation westwards from CCDD003 confirms the existence of a large porphyry-style system at Cockie Creek. It is a significant development that, unlike CCDD002, the mineralised zone's width in CCDD003 is substantially thicker. According to the details of the report, the width of the near-surface western copper zone is more than twice that of the eastern copper zone, which increases the potential for the discovery of a large porphyry Cu-Au-Mo mineralisation system.

Superior Resources has identified several porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum prospects in the Greenvale Project, of which Cockie Creek is one. The company aims to conduct further exploration and extend drilling on this prospect to discover promising copper and gold mineralisation projects. The data from this drill hole provides optimism for the company and stakeholders that the project will yield substantial results in the future.
