I would seriously reconsider a car purchase if I found out that it didn’t have CarPlay or if I needed a subscription for it. Unless a subscription warranted it like frequent unique updates

Will not buy any car without android auto or CarPlay, we can’t trust the auto companies to keep updated and good car software

Looks like we may actually see the New CarPlay Experience this year. My guess is Porsche will be in Apple's promo videos for iPhone 15 and iOS 17. I'm surprised it wasn't BMW since they're always the first to adopt new Apple tech.

Seeing VW group double down on CarPlay just makes GM’s decision to drop CarPlay and android auto even more strange. I’ve owned GM cars my whole life, I can firmly say without carplay these will be my last GM vehicles.
