WA1 Commences Drilling at P2 Carbonatite, Expanding Exploration in West Arunta Project
WA1 Resources Ltd (ASX: WA1) has announced the initiation of drilling at the P2 carbonatite complex, located 32km west of Luni. The P2 site, discovered in 2022 with a single drillhole (PARC003), presents an opportunity for WA1 to define a second mineralised carbonatite, adding to the previous Luni carbonatite discovery.
The four-hole RC drill program aims to enhance understanding of the P2 site and gather sufficient data for potential drill-out planning. Initial drilling at P2, as confirmed by PARC003, intersected mineralisation including intervals of 12m at 0. 66% Nb2O5 from 61m and 54m at 0. 62% Nb2O5 from 162m. The highest grade encountered at the end of the hole was 1m at 1.

72% Nb2O5 from 215m.
To enhance drilling accuracy, passive seismic and infill gravity surveys have already been completed at P2. These geophysical surveys will aid in targeting the drill holes effectively. The exploration process will run concurrently with the ongoing drill-out of the Luni site, which remains the primary focus for WA1.
WA1 Managing Director, Paul Savich, emphasised the potential of the P2 carbonatite, stating, "P2 is characterised by a very discrete, semi-coincident gravity and magnetic anomaly which is proximate to a significant regional structure. A single drill hole in 2022 confirmed niobium mineralization is present within the P2 intrusive. "
The Company's objective is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the P2 carbonatite through the four well-planned drill holes. This will allow for future planning and potential exploration of the P2 site.
