Weebit Nano ReRAM Fully Qualified with SkyWater; Initial Revenues Expected in 2023
Groundbreaking ReRAM Technology Achieves Key Milestone in Commercialisation
Weebit Nano Ltd (ASX: WBT) has announced that its revolutionary ReRAM (Resistive Random Access Memory) technology has received full qualification with SkyWater Technology's S130 process. This accomplishment marks a significant milestone for Weebit Nano in the commercialisation of its embedded ReRAM technology. Initial revenues are expected to be generated by the company in 2023.
Advancing Negotiations and Evaluations
Weebit Nano has been actively engaged in discussions and evaluations with multiple industry-leading fabs and potential customers. These negotiations are currently in various stages, indicating promising collaborations on the horizon. The company anticipates signing licensing agreements with at least one of these partners in the coming months, further fueling its growth and paving the way for initial revenues later this year.
Expanding Leadership Team and Financial Backing
Underlining its commitment to continued success, Weebit Nano has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Lilach Zinger as the Director of Foundry/IDM Business Development.

Zinger's expertise is expected to play a crucial role in forging strategic partnerships and driving business growth.
To support its ambitious goals, Weebit Nano successfully raised A$15 million through an upsized and strongly supported Share Purchase Plan (SPP). The capital infusion will aid in the company's ongoing expansion and market penetration.
Fully Qualified ReRAM IP with SkyWater
Weebit Nano achieved a significant breakthrough during the quarter by fully qualifying its embedded ReRAM intellectual property (IP) at industrial temperatures within SkyWater Technology's 130nm CMOS (S130) process. This qualification demonstrates the readiness of Weebit's ReRAM for volume production and its suitability for use in various customer applications.
Qualification testing was conducted on demo chips embedded with Weebit ReRAM, produced by SkyWater. These chips underwent stringent JEDEC industry standard testing, with all blindly selected silicon die passing with flying colors. Weebit ReRAM in the S130 process offers an ultra-low power, fast, and reliable non-volatile memory (NVM) solution that thrives in challenging environments.
SkyWater customers can now confidently integrate the Weebit ReRAM IP into their system-on-chip (SoC) designs for applications ranging from mixed-signal and IoT to automotive, industrial, medical, and aerospace industries. Weebit Nano and SkyWater are actively engaged in discussions with numerous customers, with expectations of Weebit IP being incorporated into design projects throughout the calendar year.
Unlocking New Opportunities and Future Growth
The qualification of Weebit's embedded ReRAM IP in the commercial production fab not only de-risks the technology for other foundries and integrated device manufacturers (IDMs) but also reinforces the credibility of Weebit's volume production capabilities. This achievement has instilled confidence in potential customers seeking to integrate advanced intelligence and functionality into their next-generation products. Collaborating closely with SkyWater, Weebit Nano is actively working on integrating its ReRAM IP into system-on-chip designs.
The qualification data further highlights the significant advantages of Weebit ReRAM over flash and other emerging nonvolatile memory (NVM) technologies. Weebit ReRAM offers superior speed, lower cost, enhanced energy efficiency, and exceptional reliability, making it an ideal solution for high-temperature, radiation, and electromagnetic conditions. Weebit Nano remains committed to qualifying its embedded ReRAM at even higher temperatures and endurance levels to explore more advanced applications.
While the focus remains on securing new licensing agreements and immediate opportunities, Weebit Nano is also actively developing solutions for the discrete memory market. Additionally, the company is scaling its embedded technology to smaller geometries, thereby diversifying its business model and tapping into a significantly larger market opportunity in the long term.
