Wildcat Resources Ltd Unveils Impressive Lithium Finds at Leia Prospect

Australian lithium developer Wildcat Resources Ltd (ASX: WC8), often referred to as "Wildcat" or the “Company”, recently announced remarkable results from its diamond drilling activities at the Leia prospect, part of its Tabba Tabba Lithium Project near Port Hedland, WA. This announcement comes amidst a global surge in demand for lithium, a critical component in electric vehicle batteries.

Leia Prospect: A Potential Global Tier One Lithium Project

Leia, the largest of six identified pegmatite prospects at Tabba Tabba, has showcased impressive results. The prospect, extending over 2. 2km in strike, up to 180m in width, and more than 450m vertically from the surface, remains open, highlighting significant untapped potential.

Some notable findings from the first diamond drill holes include:

2% Li2O from 207. 0m within a broader zone of 135. 0m at 0. 9% Li2O.
69. 9m at 1. 2% Li2O from 399. 0m within 123. 4m at 0. 9% Li2O.
Additional significant intercepts reinforcing the prospect's potential.

Strategic Location and Infrastructure

Tabba Tabba's strategic location, close to significant lithium operations and infrastructure, boosts its potential. It is situated 47km from Pilbara Minerals’ Pilgangoora Project and 87km from Mineral Resources’ Wodgina Project, with convenient access to Port Hedland.

Aggressive Exploration Campaign

Wildcat has undertaken an aggressive exploration campaign, completing 174 RC drill holes and 24 diamond tails since July 2023. The focus remains on Leia but will expand to other lithium-bearing pegmatites in the region. The Company plans to continue its exploration into 2024, utilizing additional rigs to further investigate the area's lithium potential.

Geological Insights

Initial Fourier-transform infra-red (FTIR) analysis confirms spodumene as the dominant lithium mineral at Leia. Ongoing mineralogical studies aim to provide a deeper understanding of the pegmatites' geochemical characteristics.

Promising Future Prospects

With the drilling ramp-up planned for early 2024, Wildcat aims to continue exploring Leia's limits and other high-priority pegmatites. The company is also progressing with permitting and evaluation studies, signifying a step forward in realizing Tabba Tabba's full potential.
