American West Metals Limited (ASX: AW1 | OTCQB: AWMLF) has reported exceptional drill results at the Storm Copper Project on Somerset Island, Nunavut in Canada, confirming thick, high-grade copper. Initial assay results from the summer drilling program at the 2750N and 4100N Zones returned near-surface high-grade copper intervals, including 46m of 2. 2% copper and 15. 6m of 4. 2% copper, among others. Further assays are expected regularly over the coming weeks.

Moreover, exploration drilling between the 2750N and 2200N Zones has delivered a new discovery in an under-explored area of the project.

The copper zone, named 'Lightning Ridge,' has been interpreted to be fault-related and is located between the high-grade 2750N and 2200N zones, approximately 1km apart. Over 10km of prospective structures have been identified in the immediate area, with further potential across the project.

Dave O’Neill, Managing Director of American West Metals, said: “We are very pleased to provide an update on the drilling activities at Storm with the initial assays for the 2023 summer resource drill

There’s this idea floating around that throwing enough cash at Intel will suddenly turn them into the next TSMC. But semiconductor manufacturing isn’t something you can rush, it’s a complex, slow-moving process that takes years of precision and experience.

Intel could recover some ground eventually, but framing them as the savior of American chipmaking feels more like a political talking point than a practical reality.

Looks like we're going through something, but who would have thought with all these tarrifs, inflation and trade wars going on
