Post image

Dreadnought Resources Limited has announced the commencement of a ~31-hole (~2,600m) RC drill program at Star of Mangaroon and Lead Gold Mines located in the Gascoyne Region of Western Australia. The drilling program aims to confirm and extend mineralisation along strike and at depth in the area. The drilling for the Star of Mangaroon (21 holes, ~2,000m) is aimed at confirming and extending mineralisation along the strike.

Historical drilling in the 1980s and 1990s showed significant intercepts, and the current drilling aims to expand on the data collected. Drilling at Lead Gold Mine (10 holes, ~600m) is designed to define the controlling structures and location of the lode at depth. There has been no previous drilling to facilitate the process. The drilling process is expected to take 2-3 weeks, and the results are expected in January 2024.

Dreadnought originally added the Mangaroon Project to the portfolio in November 2020, and since then, the company has made several rare earth and critical metal and nickel-copper-PGE discoveries. Consolidating the historical goldfield under one ownership structure by acquiring the Star of Mangaroon, Two Peaks, Pritchard, Lead, and Diamonds Gold Mines.

The company is now commencing the first ever systematic gold exploration program that the region has seen since gold was first discovered by pastoralists in the 1960s. This drill program marks the beginning of high-grade gold exploration at Mangaroon, aiming to deliver three discoveries in three significant commodities across the project. Following the drilling program, Dreadnought will roll straight into the follow-up drilling at the Money Intrusion funded by First Quantum.
