$TG6 Why has Drilling on Burmeister Lithium Resumed?
TG Metals Limited (TG Metals), an Australian metal exploration company, is excited to announce the recommencement of drilling activities on the Burmeister lithium discovery at the Lake Johnston Li-Ni-Au Project. The company has obtained the necessary approvals for Phase 2 drilling on the Burmeister lithium soil anomaly, following a successful Phase 1 program that yielded high-grade spodumene pegmatite intercepts.
Phase 2 Drilling Plan

The Phase 2 program will involve drilling 13 reverse circulation (RC) drillholes, covering a distance of 4,000 metres. These drillholes will be positioned at extensional angles of 60 degrees to the east, with an additional diamond core tail of 30 to 40 metres on a previously drilled RC hole (TGRC0009). The aim of this program is to target both up dip and down dip extensions of known pegmatite positions, as well as test along strike and extensional positions in the north, south, and west within the 4.5km by 1.7km ...

But semiconductor manufacturing isn’t something you can rush, it’s a complex, slow-moving process that takes years of precision and experience. Intel could recover some ground eventually, but framing them as the savior of American chipmaking feels more like a political talking point than a practical reality.
