Validation of the commercial flowsheet for the TECH Project

The piloting process, undertaken at the facilities of SGS Canada since May 2023, has successfully validated the commercial flowsheet used in the TECH Project.

The pilot testing involved several subprocesses, including aluminum precipitation, impurity solvent extraction, cobalt solvent extraction, nickel solvent extraction, transformation solvent extraction, purification solvent extraction, and nickel sulfate crystallization. The testing has proven successful in all of these areas.

QPM has produced over 10kg of on-spec nickel sulfate, meeting the stringent requirements outlined in the offtake agreements with General Motors, LG Energy Solutions, and POSCO.
