Why is Delta Lithium's Exploration Update Exciting?

Post image

Delta Lithium Limited (DLI) is pleased to provide an operational update on its exploration activities at the Yinnetharra and Mt Ida Lithium Projects in Western Australia. Let's dive into the details:

Continued Exploration Success

Drilling has been ongoing at both the Yinnetharra and Mt Ida Lithium Projects, with excellent exploration and studies work conducted at both sites. The exploration team has been relentless in their pursuit of discovering new lithium deposits, and their efforts have been paying off.

Yinnetharra Project: Thick Continuous Lithium Mineralization

Ongoing drilling at the Yinnetharra Project has revealed thick continuous lithium mineralization from the surface. The drilling utilized two Reverse Circulation (RC) rigs and one Diamond Drill (DD) rig to test the Malinda pegmatites along strike and down dip.

The pegmatites, which are rock formations that often contain lithium minerals, are forming shallow dipping sheets. Within these sheets, there are thickened zones, some up to 70m thick, that contain spodumene, a lithium-rich mineral.

The pegmatite emplacement and morphology are influenced by various structures and contacts between amphibolite and schist units.

Infill Drilling and Mining Studies

Upon the release of the maiden Lithium Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) at Malinda later this quarter, Delta's drilling strategy at Yinnetharra will transition towards infill drilling. The aim is to build confidence in the geological model by closely spaced drilling within known pegmatites.

Two rigs will be dedicated to this infill drilling for the next few months to prepare for mining studies at Malinda. Additionally, one RC rig will be utilized to test regional anomalies near the Malinda pegmatite.

The focus of the infill drilling will be on the M1, M36, and M47 pegmatites at Malinda.

Future Plans and Critical Risk Mitigation

Delta Lithium Limited recognizes the importance of ongoing investment in exploration. This investment will not only deliver confidence in geological studies but also ensure effective forward planning.

By gaining a solid understanding of the geology and mineralization at both the Yinnetharra and Mt Ida Lithium Projects, Delta aims to mitigate risks and rapidly develop its lithium assets.

In conclusion, Delta Lithium Limited's exploration update on the Yinnetharra and Mt Ida Lithium Projects is exciting due to the continued success in discovering thick continuous lithium mineralization. The focus on infill drilling and mining studies demonstrates the company's commitment to developing its lithium assets and mitigating risks. With promising exploration results, Delta is well-positioned to contribute to the growing lithium market.
