Why is Invictus Energy Mobilizing Rigs at Cabora Bassa Project?

Invictus Energy Limited ("Invictus" or "the Company") has reached a significant milestone in its Cabora Bassa Project in Zimbabwe. The mobilization and assembly of the Exalo Rig 202 at the Mukuyu-2 wellsite have been completed. This development marks an important step forward as the company prepares to begin drilling.

Scott Macmillan, the Managing Director of Invictus, expressed his satisfaction with the completion of the mobilization and rig up. He highlighted the imminent final preparations for the arrival of well services equipment and emphasized the importance of quality assurance and control. Macmillan also mentioned the anticipated confirmation of a discovery based on the successful Mukuyu-1/ST-1 well. He concluded by stating that the company remains on track to begin spudding the Mukuyu-2 well in the following weeks.

Preparations for drilling at Mukuyu-2 wellsite

The mobilization and rig up of the Exalo Rig 202 at Mukuyu-2 have been finalized, as highlighted in Figure 1. Operations at the wellsite are now operating around the clock in preparation for the arrival of additional personnel and equipment, as shown in Figure 2. The installation and commissioning of the new mud tank system, in conjunction with the rig acceptance process, are underway ahead of the spud.

The final preparations and inspection of third-party equipment, both at the company's supply base and those of its contractors, are currently in progress and nearing completion. These preparations will be finalized in the coming days.

With these developments, Invictus Energy is making significant progress in its Cabora Bassa Project, and the company is poised to begin drilling at the Mukuyu-2 well in the near future.
