Resuming Exploration and Development

After facing challenges posed by wildfires in the region, Patriot Battery Metals Inc. has successfully resumed its mineral exploration and development programs as of early August 2023. The wildfires gradually abated, allowing the company to proceed with on-site activities. These programs include community engagement, environmental baseline field work, camp construction, road access upgrades, surface exploration, and core drilling.

Fire Impact and Delays

Although the wildfires caused disruptions and delays throughout the summer months, no equipment or property at the Property, camp site, laydown, or the Mirage Lodge have been lost. The area around the Property, including the KM-270 exploration camp construction site, reopened in late July. However, ongoing wildfires over 200 km to the west and south of the Property have limited road access and hindered camp installation and construction progress.

To combat this, a preliminary crew arrived on-site via air transport and is utilizing existing equipment at the KM-270 exploration camp to advance construction projects. As conditions permit, additional construction personnel and materials will be mobilized to accelerate these activities. The 100%-owned exploration camp at KM-270 is expected to be operational by November 2023, significantly improving transport efficiency and supporting accelerated mineral exploration and development work.

All-Weather Exploration Access Road

Patriot Battery Metals Inc. has also received the necessary permits to complete the all-weather exploration access road, extending from the all-weather Trans-Taiga Road to CV5. The road is anticipated to be operational by November, enabling the company to continue drill exploration activities into December 2023. This timeline is approximately six (6) weeks later than typically practical during that time of year.

Thanks to a strategic investment of C$109 million from Albemarle Corporation, Patriot Battery Metals Inc. is well-positioned to advance and accelerate its activities on-site. This includes drilling, all-weather road improvements, and completing phase one of the exploration camp at KM-270 on the Trans-Taiga Road, located directly north of the Property.
