Strategic Implications

Alex Scanlon, Managing Director of Barton, highlighted the significance of these results, stating they validate the expansive potential of Tunkillia’s gold mineralization. Area 51, located approximately 4km northwest of the 223 Deposit area, is among the five new gold zones identified within this radius over the past two years, with three recently converted to JORC Resources. The focus now turns to evaluating Area 51 for similar potential, aiming to further augment the project's mineralized footprint.

The Path Forward: Area 51 and Beyond

The recent drilling has not only confirmed but also extended the mineralization at Area 51 to over 700m, revealing a broad zone of gold mineralization with significant gram-metres. This data, coupled with extensive diamond drilling, will inform the geological and structural controls of the mineralization, laying the groundwork for converting Area 51 mineralization into new JORC Resources.

Next Steps and Analysis

With the aim of near-term growth for the Tunkillia Project, Barton is now collaborating with external resource consultants to assess the feasibility of incorporating Area 51 mineralization into the project's overall resource estimate. This evaluation will leverage the comprehensive data set accumulated from both the recent and historical drilling campaigns.
