You'll Never Be Successful In Business Listening To The Doubters - I know too many of you in here who have already jumped into the world of owning a business this advice seems almost pointless; however, I know there are many lurkers on this subreddit just waiting to jump in and seize their opportunity to run a business looking for some sort of motivation or support from their close colleagues and friends, but sadly I'm here to break it to you that it's not coming...
Yup, I know that's a harsh reality but let me tell you something I've run a successful SEO business here for over 3 years now with a handful of loyal clients at my side but none of that would've been possible had I sat around waiting for the opportunity or support of those around me. In fact often times I was met with negativity whenever I brought up the idea, I remember I brought the idea up to a close friend of mine who essentially told me "Bro theres millions of people already doing it what makes you think you can be any different" and even my parents told me to "work a regular job, owning a business is too risky" and while I can't hate on them for trying to shield me from failure, I can however fault them for not believing in my success.
I will say this post isn't to jerk myself off about owning a successful business as I'll be the first to say I'm not where I want to be and I wouldn't even consider myself close to the $10,000 a month guys you always see in this subreddit, but I will say that I would've never even got to this point of running a profitable business had I listened to those around me who enjoy taking the "safe route" in life and collecting their biweekly paychecks. Now if you hate the idea that some SEO guy is saying this to you since there's hundreds of them in this subreddit then I guarantee other people in this group who run successful businesses outside of the SEO world probably share similar stories to my own and would relay this same information.
So go out there build your first business, become profitable, and then look back at all the time you wasted waiting around for someone elses confirmation. I guarantee you'll thank me for this at some point if you do and if it fails then you start back for the beginning as nothing in life that's worth something sits behind the "safe route" in my opinion.
