This is such an annoying product segmentation and the only thing that stops me from buying a new Macbook right now. I have a two screen setup already for my work Macbook and my gaming rig. At least it now supports 4k at 120hz! Finally can get the Mac mini with M3 when it comes out without having to get the Pro just for that feature. Edit: *over HDMI

If not now then when? How do you update the iMac, the only computer Apple makes where it makes sense to bundle these accessories and not update them!?

I'm not sure M3 will be as great as this article hypes. A17 also uses TSMC 3nm but it's a moderate jump from the A16, since the architecture per se doesn't change that much.

That was one of the more bizarre service announcements ever.

Not sure who they were targeting with this. But having it use Siri exclusively even made the blind want to use the app instead.

It was such a weird service. I don't even know a single person that used it lol Replace it with a lower-priced option that lets you actually use the app but only plays standard AAC 256 kbps among other things (maybe no Dolby Atmos audio, no Music Classical, no Sing, and/or ... See More if they were crazy no offline downloads or something) and maybe people will actually use it. Edit: Some sort of Apple Music Core that gives you full access to the music library to stream in app and not much else.

Oh my god, the madlads actually did it. They released a 14" MacBook Pro with base 8GB RAM.

Biggest disappointment reading the spec sheets is that the M3 still only supports one external display. So that new base 14”, even with all its ports, is still as limited as the Air and 13” Pro before it

The Touch Bar wasn't a mistake, having it replace the function keys was.

I’m curious if the Touch Bar was released with the regular keyboard, separated escape key and separated touchID power button if it would have stayed around longer.

Maybe partly explains why they spent very little time comparing M3 Pro to the M2 Pro during the event.

I just want them to “innovate” their way into supporting an actual number of monitors that makes sense.
