Apple is definitely not putting the customer first here. Very unfriendly policy for those of us who prefer not to use one of those three carriers.
I did it. While it’s dumb to not have apple wallet support (hopefully they will fix this) I was shocked that it actually onboarded pretty easily and it actually worked.
Very welcome update. Would be nice if the wattage was controllable in software (such as scheduling lower charging speeds at night), rather than having to purposefully use a lower wattage plug
~~Charring~~ Charging speed isn't normally an issue for me day to day. But when you travel, it can be a minor inconvenience. It's a welcome change. EDIT: typo
Wow! This is like reading the telegrams too/from the Titanic, but with a happier ending.
If it has some kind of M1 micro in there that gives it week long battery life like my Pebble used to have, I’d be quite interested.
Did I have to sign paperwork for this? For once this is a class action I’ll take the check for
The only one winning in cases like these are the lawyers, that take a percentage of the settlement amount.
Idk if I buy the magnet thing. You’d need some fairly strong magnets to keep the band on for an active lifestyle that Apple likes to promote with these watches.
Not even a full day into “Apple Watch X” reaching topic-of-the-day discussion online, and 9to5Mac is already justifying a hypothetical controversial decision? I MEAN, COME ON.
This isn’t just Apple Card financing, this requires any financing to be with a connected carrier. Apple was probably getting complaints from the carriers for offering their own financing options… Which sucks, because any carrier financed device will be locked, whereas the Apple financing wouldn’t be.
