Honestly, while "software locking" sounds bad, this is actually a BENEFIT for the consumer. They are paying only for the standard range, but have a full size battery pack. We know that in all battery packs, some individual cells will fail over the life of the battery...the software ... See More lock will just cap the usable amount, meaning that the overall lifespan of the pack will be increased (assuming you don't later unlock the "extra" range). Rather than feel "cheated" by this, it's keeping costs down for EVERYONE, by eliminating the complexity of having multiple sizes of battery packs and having to configure the line to use one or the other.

I finally got the thought that was failing to come out whenever I see the CT wrapped with the F-150 skin. It's like a computer rendering of the F-150, but with low (and bad) polygon count. There's a glitch in the matrix!!!!

I feel like it looks better than the actual Cybertruck.
